Leadership House Peer Mentor Program

Position Description
The Leadership House Peer Mentor program is designed to help future Leadership House students become acquainted with UB and help ease their transition into Leadership House by the sharing of experiences.
Qualifications
Leadership House Peer Mentors must have completed the Leadership House (LH) program and be in good academic and disciplinary standing. A LH Peer Mentor must be able and willing to dedicate time and energy to help out the students he/she is assigned.
Responsibilities
Peer mentor responsibilities include the following:
- Attend a peer mentor training and planning session at the end of the spring semester.
- Help acquaint new students with campus services and resources.
- Spend time in the residence hall to help build community.
- Help plan and implement the Orientation Session and Retreat for the current LH students.
- Plan one event for the Leadership House students each month.
- Attend staff meetings.
- Be available via email for students to email questions and/or concerns.

Additional Information
Peer mentors will be required to attend a training orientation. Peer mentors will also be required to meet individually with the coordinator of the Leadership House program once during each semester.
